I joined Keele in 2009 as a Clinical Lecturer in Rheumatology. Prior to this, I was undertaking full time clinical training in rheumatology in the West Midlands. Following my medical degree (MBChB, University of Leicester) I have completed a Masters in Medical Education (University of Warwick) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (London).
Currently I work as a Clinical academic at Keele and as a honorary Consultant at the Haywood Rheumatology Centre.
I am in the final stages of a PhD. This project is using a mix of qualitative, quantitative and observational methodology to explore the consultation in primary care of adults presenting with osteoarthritis. My other research interests include the management of patients with musculoskeletal problems at the primary/secondary care interface.
