I joined Keele in September 2005 as a Lecturer in Nursing at Keele University School of Nursing and Midwifery. I am a Registered Nurse (adult) and a Registered Teacher with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. My clinical background is community nursing with latest experience at the interface of care as Clinical Lead of an intermediate care team.  I have previously completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Leadership at Staffordshire University and have recently completed a PhD in Nursing at Keele University.

My research within Keele is split between the Institute for Primary Health Care Sciences and the School of Nursing. My main areas of research are primary care,  primary and secondary care interface and the service user experience; with a particular focus on chronic disease management and person-centred care.
