I have worked at Keele as a research physiotherapist since 2008 and am based in the Arthritis Research UK Primary Care Centre. Prior to that I was a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Brunel University, Middlesex. I completed my Masters in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2001 (University College London) and a Post graduate Certificate in Higher Education in 2005 (Brunel University). As a physiotherapist practitioner I have worked in the NHS, private practice and overseas. I am a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

2011-2015 Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHP) Research Training Fellowship Award. Awarded by West Midlands Strategic Health Authority.
This award will fund my PhD  “The classification of low back pain with associated leg pain in primary care. Development and evaluation of empirically based sub-groups”. This PhD will be embedded within a current programme of spinal pain research funded by NIHR PGfAR (2009-2013) (Lead Applicant; Elaine Hay).

2009- 2010 Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHP) Research Training Support Award (pre Phd). Awarded by West Midlands Strategic Health Authority. £32,729.
