I came to Keele in 2007 as an NIHR Walport Clinical Lecturer in Rheumatology. Following my undergraduate medical training in Nottingham (1996) I undertook postgraduate training in Manchester with an MSc Clinical Rheumatology (2003) and a PhD (2007).
Currently I work as a clinical academic at Keele and an Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at the Haywood Hospital.
My research interests include
- Clinical outcomes of sciatica
- Polymyalgia rheumatica
- Management of musculoskeletal conditions at the primary/secondary care interface
- Undergraduate clinical teaching in Rheumatology
- Postgraduate teaching on ASPiRE and Musculoskeletal Management at the Interface Modules
- Assist with organisation of medical undergraduate intercalation programme
