I came to Keele in January 2007, having previously held an appointment as Research Fellow in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Leicester. My first degree, BSc Exercise Science (Hons), was obtained from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) in 2000. I continued my studies at MMU and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Exercise Physiology (2001), and a PhD in Spinal Biomechanics (2005).
I am based in the Arthritis Research UK Primary Care Centre within the Research Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences. I have over 6 years experience of co-ordinating large randomised controlled trials and I am currently working as Principal Investigator for a nurse-led study intervention for the management of Osteoarthritis within Primary Care.
