I started my undergraduate medical training (MBChB) at Manchester Univeristy and came to Keele in the first cohort of medical students, completing my training in 2005. I did my Foundation Years as a Junior Doctor at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and commenced my GP training on the Keele Vocational Training Scheme in 2007. I completed the modular component of the MMedSci at Keele and am currently working on my dissertation with a view to completing my GP training in October.

I am based in the Arthritis Research UK Primary Care Centre within the Research Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences working on a nested case-control study looking at how morbidities can increase the odds of being diagnosed with dementia within a primary care community sample. The findings of the study will hopefully guide primary care clinicians in recognising dementia earlier and improving holisitic dementia care in line with national strategies and guidelines.

I am involved with the clinical teaching of undergraduate medical students and other junior doctors in clinical practice.
