I joined Keele in April 2008 to work on a project investigating self-management and chronic knee pain. Whilst working at Keele I completed my PhD part time. Prior to joining Keele I studied for a degree in Sociology from the University of the West of England (Bristol) in 2006. Following that I worked for the University of Wolverhampton as a Research Assistant on a project that explored patient and practitioner perspectives regarding the role of self-management for glaucoma.

I am currently working on the qualitative evaluation of the Managing Osteoarthritis iConsultations Study (MOSAICS), a Primary Care based intervention which aims to promote self-management of osteoarthritis related joint pain. This involves exploring the perspectives of practitioners who delivered the intervention and the patients who received it.

The second project that I am involved with is a NIHR National School for Primary Care Research funded collaboration with investigators from University College London. The project aims to develop a toolkit to guide researchers involved with trials and / or complex interventions.
