I joined Keele University in May 2011 as a Management Accountant for Primary Care Research, my role is a joint role between Finance & Primary Care Research. I am a fully qualified Public Sector Accountant and have worked in Public Sector finance since I finished University in 2004.
I started my career at Stoke-on-Trent City Council and was there for 4 years working as an Assistant Accountant for Community Services aswell as working on various efficiency working groups where the aim was to change review working practices / systems in order to make positive changes.
I then went on to work at North Staffs PCT as the Divisional Accountant for Adult Services providing management accountant support to the division aswell as supporting them in the implementation of their annual efficiency savings plans, this then led me to take a post at Mid Staffs Foundation Trust where I worked as an Accountant for Central Finance with the Research Department.
