Role: Manger of the Primary Care Musculoskeletal Research Consortium which represents the partnership between the researchers within the Centre and various NHS partners within North Staffordshire and Cheshire. Working across the NHS/research interface, ensuring clinical engagement in the research agenda and supporting the dissemination and implementation of research outputs into practice.

I graduated from Keele University in 1990 and subsequently held a number of NHS management roles within secondary and primary care settings.  Over the last 17 years I have worked closely with the Rheumatology team at the Haywood Hospital in Stoke on Trent, initially as clinical auditor, moving into rheumatology and orthopaedic directorate manager posts and for the last 5 years as Hospital Manager for Stoke Community Hospitals.  Working closely with clinicians, patients and the research unit at Keele I developed a number of business cases supporting the development of evidence-based musculoskeletal services in Staffordshire.
