I took up my post at Keele in October 2009 having spent the previous eight years working for the University of Manchester, firstly as a Research Assistant in the Epidemiology Unit, and subsequently as a Trial Manager in the School of Psychological Sciences. My undergraduate degree (BSc Biochemistry and Genetics) and MSc in Genetic Epidemiology were taken at the University of Sheffield, prior to obtaining my PhD in Epidemiology at Manchester.
My work as a Research Programme Manager at the Arthritis Research UK Primary Care Centre currently focuses on studies within the NIHR Spinal Pain Programme.
