I came to Keele in 1997, having been Principal Lecturer in Social and Health Research at Coventry University. Following an undergraduate degree in English (University of Durham), my postgraduate education was in Sociology (South Bank Polytechnic), Philosophy (Keele University) and Statistics (Sheffield Hallam University).
I am a Chartered Statistician and Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society.
My research within Keele is located in the Arthritis Research UK Primary Care Centre within the Research Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences and in the Social Policy group within the Research Institute for Social Sciences. I also work with the Centre for Professional Ethics.
I am a Front-Line Advisor in statistics and clinical trial methods in the West Midlands Research Design Service.
