I undertook my MBChB medical degree at Manchester University, completing my clinical years at Keele and graduating in 2006 with honours. I have worked in North Staffordshire ever since. I first started working at the centre in 2007 during my Academic Foundation Year 2 post and have since been working as an academic GP trainee. I was awarding the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG) in 2010 and the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH) in 2011. I have been involved in medical student career support at Keele University since graduating. I am currently studying part time for an MPhil while training in general practice.

I work in the Arthritis Research UK Primary Care Centre researching the attitudes, beliefs and behaviours of GPs regarding exercise for chronic knee pain. I have undertaken a systematic review of this topic and am now going to undertake a national questionnaire pilot study investigating the attitudes, beliefs and behaviours of UK GPs.
