Research Themes

Our large multi-disciplinary team of 120 staff, including academic GPs, rheumatologists, nurses and allied health professionals, biostatisticians, epidemiologists, social scientists and health economists work alongside clinicians and service managers in the NHS, to ensure the clinical importance and usefulness of our research.  We have focused our research programmes across the four key clinical themes of:

• Joint pain and osteoarthritis (OA) in older people

• Back Pain

• Regional and widespread pain

• Non-musculoskeletal topics
