Additional student places and funds (ASN) Bids
These are submitted by the University to apply for an increased number of student FTEs in strategically significant areas that will be funded by HEFCE teaching funds. Each University has individual contractual arrangements with HEFCE to deliver teaching to pre-determined numbers of FTEs, with a notional allocation of FTEs for each price groups, a tool used by HEFCE to distribute funding at different rates within subject groupings.
Annual Monitoring Statement (AMS) and Corporate Planning Statement (CPS)
All Universities are required to submit an annual monitoring statement that identifies progress against targets and new targets for the forthcoming academic session against its strategic plan. The AMS reports specifically on the use of HEFCE strategic special funding. The AMS is supported by an annual financial forecast and the Corporate Planning Statement, which is concerned with the strategic direction of the institution over the medium term.
Higher Education Students Early Statistics Survey (HESES)
An annual prediction of the number of fundable and non-fundable FTEs that will be taught at Keele during the forthcoming academic year, split by cost centre, fundable status, level and length of year. This information is used to determine the teaching grant given to Keele.
Medical and Dental Student Survey
To update HEFCE on the intake and output of current medical and dental students, and on the forthcoming provisional undergraduate intake.
