Ordinance XXIV: Resident Tutors
1. Resident Tutors shall be appointed by the Council on the recommendation of the Senate for periods and on terms determined by Regulation, from amongst the following classes of person:
a) Members of the teaching and research staff and other members of staff paid on the non-clinical academic related scales;
b) Full-time registered postgraduate students;
c) Full-time registered students, other than undergraduates.
2. Preference shall normally be given in appointment to members of the academic teaching staff.
3. No person may continue to hold appointment as a Resident Tutor if he/she no longer holds an appointment as specified above or is no longer a full-time registered student.
