Section 30 - Removal of Officers and Members
1. The Chancellor, the Pro-Chancellor, the Deputy Pro- Chancellors, the Treasurer or any other member of the Council (other than the ex officio Members or members of the academic staff to whom Section 31 applies) may be removed for good cause by the Council. No person shall be removed by the Council unless that person shall have been given a reasonable opportunity to have been heard by the Council.
2. "Good Cause" in this Section means -
a) Conviction for an offence which may be deemed by the Council to be such as to render the person convicted unfit for the execution of the duties of the office; or
b) Conduct of an immoral, scandalous or disgraceful nature incompatible with the duties of the office; or
c) Conduct constituting failure or persistent refusal or neglect or inability to perform the duties or comply with the conditions of office whether such failure results from physical or mental incapacity or otherwise.
3. The procedure in connection with the consideration and determination of the removal of officers and members shall be determined by Ordinance.
