Humanities Sessions
Trained students deliver interactive subject specific sessions in schools. The sessions are designed to enthuse young people about the given subject area.
Sesssions available for Key Stage 2 are as follows:
Flash Fiction
Can you really write a story in 6 words? And if so, can you include hidden meanings? The participants get the chance to write some of their own short stories. The session finishes with a brief discussion on Ernest Hemmingway and the importance of his work - including Flash Fiction.
Harry Potter
Involving role play adaptation from Harry Potter and a discussion surrounding what film can do that the written word cannot. The conclusion will look at the piece from the Harry Potter film that they were asked to act out. Was it similar? What did the director change?
