KLASS (Keele Ambassador Students in Schools)

Student led sessions exploring the world of Higher Education and employability.  A great opportunity for learners to start thinking about their future and the importance of education.

These sessions can be booked as a standalone activity for up to 30 learners or multiple sessions can be booked to cover a wider audience.

Year 12

A whistle stop tour on University for those who have had limited access to information, advice and guidance at pre-16 level.

University: Is it worth it?

Year 12

A workshop looking at the concept of the labour market, the different courses available at university and the linked job opportunities.

Facts on Finance

Year 12 and 13

A workshop on student finance, explaining vocabulary of loans and bursaries and looking at money management.

Dragon’s Den: University Edition

Year 12 and 13

A 2 hour workshop to explore the different types of Universities and encourage learners to think about what they might be looking for in a University. This session will finish with a presentation from the learners.

Navigating UCAS

Year 12 and 13

A workshop with the objective of providing advice and guidance on applying through UCAS, including hints and tips on writing the personal statement.

The Final Countdown

Year 13

An interactive session to support pupils with the final preparations for university, from what things to take to how to survive your first week of lectures.
