Biography

MSc, BSc (Hons), Dip RN (Adult Nursing), Queen’s Nurse

Vicky undertook her nurse training at the then Keele University Department of Nursing and Midwifery in the early 1990’s. After registration, she moved into the speciality of Emergency surgery and worked for the University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust at its Royal Infirmary Hospital site. She also worked for The Royal London Hospital, in the speciality of Trauma Orthopaedics and Emergency Surgery and during 1995/96 worked as an agency nurse in Sydney, Australia. In early 2000’s Vicky worked as a Triage Nurse for General Practice (GP) out of hours and worked in GP for twenty years.

Vicky completed and was awarded her BSc in Clinical Practice in 2014 and awarded her MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP), at Keele University, in 2019. She joined the school in August 2023 as Lecturer in Adult Nursing; and is excited to share her clinical knowledge and experience to support and develop, both safe and caring, future clinical practitioners.
