Julie is a lecturer within the School of Nursing and Midwifery where she is the Award Lead for the Pre Registration Nursing programmes.  This encompasses the day to day running of the programmes and includes curriculum compliance, monitoring of students and quality assurance.

Her particular interests lie in education evaluation and the evolving role of the nurse and she is currently undertaking a PhD examining the impact of the European Working Time Directive on Junior doctors and nurses in critical care.
