Sue is a Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery and teaches on both pre and post registration courses. Her special interests include Clinical Leadership, the development of Hospital at Home services and Post-acute Intermediate Care.

Sues clinical background is Adult General Nursing. She has worked in Primary Care since 1994 within the District Nursing Service. Her most recent practice as Clinical Lead Intermediate Care involved the development of the Community Intermediate Care Service within North Staffordshire working closely with the Fit for the Future Department developing care routes across the interface of Primary and Secondary Care.

Sue is currently registered as a PhD student at Keele University and has recently submitted her thesis entitled : From health crisis to home: an embedded multi-case study of the experiences and perceptions of older people.

Research interests include inter-professional working in Intermediate Care particularly in relation to older people and service- user involvement in research teams.
