International Experience in Brisbane, Australia 2010

For my elective placement I was fortunate enough to be selected to go to the Gold Coast Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. I found this experience to be very beneficial as I not only got to experience working within a privatised health care system but I also experienced a different culture. Within my time in Australia I worked in various settings such as cardiology, oncology and haemodialysis. Overall I feel having this opportunity has enabled me to further develop my learning, not only from an educational perspective but also a cultural one.

I will never forget my experience of working in Australia and would encourage anyone that has the opportunity to take it as it is truly fantastic.
