Talk ‘n’ Tour for Commuter and Local Students (Off-Campus)
At 12.00 pm and again at 2.00 pm in the Westminster Lecture Theatre, Chancellor’s Building.
A chance to get to know us and the campus. Come along for a quick talk, useful tips and information and a guided campus tour. This event is for students living off campus.
Information, Advice and Support Desks
From 10.00 am – 4.00 pm in the Chancellor's Building Foyer
Throughout the day staff from across the University will be available to talk to students about what support is available whilst you are at Keele. This will include Money advice, Counselling and Disability assistance. They will also have information about the many opportunities to get involved in a range of activities at Keele including Mentoring, Volunteering and Work opportunities.

Welcome talk for Parents, Guests and Guardians
The welcome address will be at 12.00, 13.30 and 15.00 and will be followed by light refreshments in the Great Hall (in Keele Hall).
(There is no need to RSVP, seating will be available on a first come, first served basis)
Free Child Care and Family Event for Parent Students
The Day Nursery will be open from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm providing free childcare for children aged from 12 weeks to 14 years. This will free you up to do everything you need to do today.From 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm there will be a family event in the Day Nursery. Why not come and meet other students who have children and have a look at the great new nursery facilities? This is a fun event for all the family so come along with your children and partners.

The Icebreaker Party

Head down to the Union for a night of making new friends, dancing to all the best tracks from the summer, and getting stuck right into your new life at Keele! The whole building will be open with DJs in both our main venues on hand to play your favourite tunes and requests.
Keele Postgraduate Association Clubhouse (KPA Clubhouse)
The KPA Clubhouse will be open from 3.00 pm till late for drinks.
This bar is open to all students over 21 and is a great place to relax with friends, old and new.

Start the day with a free breakfast in your hall. A fantastic way to meet your neighbours and get to know the residence support team.
Free Barbecue for Off campus and Commuter Student
From 12.30 pm – 2.00 pm in the Outback, Keele Students’ Union
Come along for a free burger or hotdog and meet up with other students living off campus or commuting to Keele. Only the first 200 orders will be free so come early to not miss out.

Chapel Services
10.00am Morning Worship, we strive for worship which is lively, reflective, and inclusive, fusing elements creatively from different Christian traditions, centred on the bible and communion
11.30pm Roman Catholic Mass. The Mass is celebrated each week by the Catholic Priest Chaplain according to the Modern Rite, with a wide range of musical styles, and opportunities to serve and participate.
7.30pm The Late Service. A student-led service with an informal lively style and a wide variety of preachers.

Your Official Welcome to Keele
At 2.00 pm the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rama Thirunamachandran, along with senior University Staff, the elected Sabbatical team of Keele Students’ Union and Keele Postgraduate Association will officially welcome you and your fellow students to Keele University.
Welcome Festival
From 2.00pm -5.00pm, Union Square
After the Deputy Vice-Chancellor opens the curtain to your life at Keele, the Welcome Festival begins. From 2.00pm -5.00pm the campus will be full of life. There should be something for everyone. From huge inflatables and climbing walls, to live music and dancing as well as lots of fun sports activities. There will also be stands from different Student Societies including a Multi Faith Exhibition outside Keele Chapel.
Campus Treasure Hunt - Halls of Residence
From 6.00pm – 8.00pm, meet with your Residence Support Assistants in your Hall common room to register. For more information look out for posters in your halls

Monday 30th September
Touch Base and Information Point
From 10.00 am – 4.00 pm throughout Welcome Week in The Chancellor’s Building Gallery next to the Exhibition Suite.
Chance to grab a tea and coffee and take some time out at our Touch Base and information point. We have lots of useful information about studying at Keele, social events and the local area. We will be organising a range of trips and events during the week so check our daily What’s On Board for details and pick up tickets for the trips you wish to attend. Tonight we are organising the Games Evening in the Dance Studio in the Sports Centre so why not join us? We will also be organising trips to Emma Bridgewater Pottery, Alton Towers and Ikea later in the week so make sure you get your tickets for these as they are all first come first served! You can also sign up for the Keele Mentors scheme if you haven’t already done so. Don’t forget the amazing ‘Keele has Talent’ Show on Saturday 29th September in Lindsay Café Bar. If you can sing, dance, play an instrument or tell a few jokes make sure you sign up! Student Guides will be here throughout the week to give you more information and answer any of your questions.

Keele Mentors Launch Party

If you have signed up to the Keele Mentors scheme come along and meet your mentor. This will be a really fun event with free drinks and snacks. You will need to think of how your mentor will recognise you so think of an original way to do this, whether it’s by wearing fancy dress or carrying a red rose! Start the weekend fun with a coach trip to our local theme park Alton Towers. Make sure you sign up and get your tickets in advance from the Touch Base and Information Point. First come first served. Don’t miss out as spaces are limited.
Trip to Emma Bridgewater Pottery, Hanley
Half day trip, leaving from Darwin Car Park by Coach at 12 noon.
Come and have a go at hand painting your very own mug, plate or bowl and maybe pick up a few more mugs from the Factory Shop while you are there.

XXX Hypnotist Tony Lee
Shows at 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm in the Students’ Union
A hypnotist like no other, Tony Lee provides a unique show which will catapult a handful of “lucky” volunteers into the limelight, as they end up on stage in unexpected situations, to the great amusement of the audience……not one for the easily offended!
