Research GrantDr Nicky Edelstyn, Research Institute for Life Course Studies/ School of Psychology, has been awarded an Innovations grant of £14,998 from the Parkinson's Disease Society to carry out a project on the effect of dopaminergic medication and disease severity on recognition memory in nondementing sporadic Parkinson's disease. Co-applicants are Professor Andrew Mayes, University of Manchester and Dr Simon Ellis, Consultant Neurologist in the University Hospital of North Staffordshire Brazilian Congress of Geriatrics and Gerontology lecture Professor Peter Crome, School of Medicine and Research Institute for Life Course Studies, delivered the Professor Andre Gomes de Amorin Lecture at the 16th Brazilian Congress of Geriatrics and Gerontology held in Porto Alegre. His talk was entitled Appropriate Prescribing. He had previously delivered a lecture on Frailty at a pre-conference satellite meeting. |
