New Keele Spin-Out Company Attracts Investment

NanoTherics Ltd has secured investment from the Mercia Technology Seed Fund. Co-founders Prof Jon Dobson and Dr Neil Farrow are developing non-viral gene transfection systems for key research applications, drug screening and gene therapy/clinical applications.

The technology was developed at Keele from research into cystic fibrosis and has the potential to be become the "gold standard" for this procedure, which facilitates the transfer of DNA into cells, and is hoped to eventually lead methods of treating human conditions.
