KUBE nominated for European Radio Award

Keele's Student Radio Station, KUBE, has been nominated for the 'Best Internet Only Station' at the highly acclaimed European Radio Awards 2007.

The awards are the first of their kind and entries were received from all over the continent. KUBE has been nominated amongst industry giants from British corporations such as the BBC, Emap, Gcap Media and many other national and commercial radio stations from across Europe. The awards will be held in Barcelona on November 5 as a part of the NAB European Radio Conference

The nomination is the second for the station in the past six months, following KUBE's success picking up 'Gold' for online radio at the International Radio Awards in New York.

KUBE are planning to send four of its voluntary staff to Barcelona for the ceremony but are appealing for funding to help cover costs. For more information please contact: Matt Bowling on 07870 545957. To listen to KUBE, click here.
