BBC Radio Four Journalist Opens Public Sector Series

Jonty BloomRadio 4 journalist and Keele graduate Jonty Bloom gave the first lecture in the fourth high profile Public Sector Series this week.

Jonty, business and economics correspondent for The World Tonight, spoke about "Business and Economics: What They Don't Say" to an audience of staff, students and members of the public.

During his visit to the University, Jonty, who graduated from Keele in 1986 in International Relations, met with members of KUBE Radio and academics from the School of Economic and Management Studies and enjoyed a nostalgic tour of the campus with alumni officer John Easom.

The other speakers in the 2007/2008 lecture series are: Professor Sir David Weatherall, Oxford University (January 21), Dame Mary Marsh, Director and Chief Executive of NSPCC (March 10), Geoff Mulgan, Director of the Young Foundation (April 30) and Shami Chakrabarti, Director of Liberty (May 12).
