Description

This module is a continuation of Earth System and Environmental Science Concepts in Year 1 and
provides coverage of important systems that do not feature
significantly in other parts of the course. Emphasis will be placed
upon providing knowledge and understanding of the oceanic system,
the atmospheric system, biosystems and the societal system.

Aims

To provide knowledge and understanding of the oceanic system, the atmospheric system, bio/ecologicalsystems and the societal system.

Intended Learning Outcomes

  • Further knowledge and understanding of the oceanic, atmospheric, bio/ecological and societal componenets of the Earth System.
  • Further development of data analysis, IT and communication skills through practical work and assignments.
