The following three telephone Helplines can provide interpreters. If you need an  interpreter, call the helpline and state the name of the language you require in English. Or you could get a friend or relative to call on your behalf to explain the language you need.

24 hours. Deals with any health query, not just mental health. The nurse will listen to your worries and direct you to the right sort of medical help in the NHS.

Mind info line

Mon – Fri  9:15am – 5:15pm.     0300 123 3393  
Run by mind, a mental health charity. Workers will not give you a medical opinion, but they will help you to work out what you need to do next, to help yourself or someone you are worried about. They can also tell you what services are available locally. 

SANELINE

1.00pm until 11.00pm every day of the year  0845 767 8000
Saneline is also run by a mental health charity and offers the same sort of help as Mind info line.
