Personal Development Planning (PDP)

Now is the time to take control of your academic, career and skill development. It’s your life so we don’t want to tell you how to do this but the PDP materials will help you with this so that you don’t feel lost and alone! It may be your course programme has developed its own materials for your skills development, so do check this with your personal tutor.

PDP will help you with:

  • Academic development PDP helps you develop a reflective approach to your academic work, to get the study skills and employability skills you need.
  • Personal development Anything and everything you do contributes to your capabilities, including employment, volunteering, sport and hobbies. Your experience and achievements contribute to and provide evidence of your growing capabilities.
  • Career development PDP helps you plan for a career that matches your interests and abilities, and helps you promote yourself with potential employers.It provides a foundation for continued development after graduating.
