I studied Law and English at Keele as an undergraduate and stayed on to complete a Ph.D in Law and to work, from 2003-2007, as the Law School's Student Support Officer. I then moved to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHumSS), were I was employed as a Learning and Teaching Developer from August 2007 until May 2011, when I transferred to the Learning and Professional Development Centre. I continue to work closely with staff in FoHumSS in my role as link person for the Distinctive Keele Curriculum (DKC).
My main areas of work focus on the personal and professional development of doctoral researchers; supporting staff involved in personal tutoring; and the development of Keele graduate attributes and other aspects of the DKC.
