Academic Integrity
Keele University is an academic community and expects all staff and students to work to the highest standards, from a basis of honesty within their academic work. When students enrol they agree to abide by the universities regulations and thus work with academic integrity. To achieve this they must avoid plagiarism, cheating and collusion.
To help all staff achieve the highest standards of academic conduct and integrity we have produced this guide to be issued to all students. The Learning and Professional Development Centre works with the Student Conduct and Discipline Office and the school Academic Conduct Officers to provide staff with support in maintaining academic integrity.
Academic Honesty, Plagiarism and Cheating: A tutorial for new undergraduate students
This guide is intended for use by all new undergraduate students. It is a generic guide and as such is suitable for all. Please share this file link with your students. Academic Conduct Officers also have a copy in the ACO space on the KLE.
Download the guide to Academic Integrity here.
For staff who have questions about the Turnitin and Grademark service for text matching of students submitted work and the online marking of work via the Keele Learning Environment(KLE) please contact Matthew West m.l.west@keele.ac.uk or Matthew Street m.j.street@keele.ac.uk.
Please click here to see the Technology Enhanced Learning page and discover more about Turnitin and how it is used at Keele.
