Using Grademark to Provide Feedback

Length of Programme: 1.5 hours

About the workshop:

Grademark is an online marking tool that is integrated with turnitin, students can submit assignments to the KLE where staff can access and mark them using the features of Grademark.  These features include the ability to drag and drop comments over assignments which can be tailored to your needs, the ability to type comments directly on the assignment and highlight portions of text.  Grademark can be used independently of turnitin for assignments where it isn¿t appropriate to use plagiarism detection software but you would like to use the marking features of Grademark.

This workshop will introduce the marking tool grademark .  We will explore Grademark and its features, benefits and how you can use it in practice.   We will also cover how to set up an assignment submission area for Turnitin/Grademark in the KLE.

Learning Objectives:

  • You will be able to set up a Turnitin/Grademark submission area
  • You will have a greater understanding of the features within Grademark
  • You will have a greater understanding of how Grademark can be used in practice

Participants:

Open to all members of staff.  This workshop is specifically tailored for those who are completely new to Grademark, but would also be of interest to those who have some experience but would like to learn more about its features
