University Online Diary
Length of programme: 1.5 hours
The University has a web based diary which facilitates online diary management, setting up appointments with colleagues, managing resource diary's for meeting rooms or equipment. All information stored within the diary is held securely on IT Services servers and backed up regularly. Existing calendars held in Airset, Outlook and Lotus systems can be transferred to the new Diary service.
The benefits of using an online diary are:
- Ability to access your diary from anywhere you have an internet connection
- Ability to book repeating appointments without having to enter each one individually
- Arrange meetings by automatically discovering the free time of other participants
- Be able to share your diary with your colleagues
- Synchronize your online diary with your mobile device
This hands on course takes you through how the diary works and includes:
- Updating Personal Information
- Setting diary preferences
- Granting access to colleagues
- Calendar views
- Setting up categories
- Creating different appointment types
- Setting Alarms
- Tips and tricks
Participants:
The course is for members of staff who have had little or no experience of using the university online dairy.
