Research Supervisor Programme
Length of programme: 12 hours (2 x full day workshop)
Purpose:
This is the training prescribed by the University as partial requirement of achieving Approved Supervisor status. Delivered by academic colleagues from across the Faculties, L.P.D.C. staff and professional service staff involved in Research Support; it aims to provide a foundation to develop effective supervisory practice.
Day One:
Topics covered will include:
Structures and Regulations Frameworks
Expectations and experiences of Research Supervisors
Managing Relationships with students
Day Two:
Topics covered will include:
Managing and Monitoring Student Performance
The Student LifeCycle - Recruitment to Submission and beyond
In order to enrol on this programme you must be able to commit to the whole two days.
Participants:
Current or prospective Associate Supervisors
