Rapid Critical Appraisal of Qualitative Research - Enhanced Session
Length of programme: 1.15 hours
About this workshop:
A short introduction to the ideas underlying critical appraisal of a qualitative study. This session involved appraising a study using a CASP tool and a group discussion.
By the end of the session you will be able to:
- Understand the principles of critical appraisal and why you should undertake it
- Be able to appraise published research and judge its reliability
- Be able to assess the relevance of published research to your own work
This session is suitable for those who are new to the idea of critical appraisal. Some knowledge of basic literature searching and research methods is required.
Participants:
Any staff wishing to further develop their research skills within Healthcare.
