Managing Staff Conduct and Disciplinary Management
Length of programme: 3 hours
About the Workshop:
An interactive workshop for line managers, designed to highlight the importance of clarifying standards and expectations and the appropriate action to take when these are not met. The workshop includes advice on informal management of conduct issues and more formal management under the relevant disciplinary procedure.
Objectives:
By the end of the workshop you will:
- Have an understanding of the importance of setting clear standards and expectations
- Know when informal action is appropriate
- Know when formal action is appropriate
- Know how to conduct an investigation
- Know how to conduct a formal disciplinary hearing
- Know how to conduct an appeal hearing
- Know rights and responsibilities of all parties involved in the formal process
- Know what administration is to be completed
Participants:
Any member of staff undertaking line management responsibility.
