Making Change More Positive

Length of programme: 3 hours

About the workshop:

This workshop focuses on helping you understand why individuals react to change in the way they do, and practical ways we can help ourselves and others cope with the more disabling aspects of change. During the session you will be helped to pre-empt the more disruptive aspects of change through developing simple supportive approaches that can be used in most groups.

If you are interested in the theories of change, this may not be the programme for you.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the workshop you will:

  • Understand personal reactions to change.
  • Have used a six stage process to identify stress points during change.
  • Identified ways of supporting individuals through change.
  • Created action points for your own work situation.

Participants:

  • Staff who lead academic and support teams.
  • Staff who want to help themselves and others remain more positive during periods of difficult change.
