Making a Good Impression - How to Succeed in the Job Market

Length of Programme: 3 hours

About the workshop:
The session covers the key aspects of how to improve your chances of getting an interview, how to prepare for the interview, and how to answer questions in a purposeful and positive way. In the last part of the session you will be given an opportunity to practice answering questions using the approaches covered.

Learning outcomes:
As a result of attending the session you will be able to:

Identify useful sources of help when applying for posts
Structure a CV targeted for a specific post
Complete an application form and covering letter in a way that will have maximum impact
Prepare effectively for an interview using appropriate information sources and anticipated questions
Answer questions in a way that demonstrates focus and achievement

Participants:
All staff who would like to increase their chances of being invited to an interview and/or to improve their performance at interviews.
