Library Services for Teaching and Research

About the Workshop:

This is a 1-hour introductory session primarily designed for new teaching and research staff who would like to know more about what Keele University Libraries can provide for them. We will look at facilities at the Campus and Health Libraries including both print and online resources as well as explaining services like digitisation, inter-library loans, the Campus Library liaison service, Health Library training service and procedures for requesting new material.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the workshop you will:

  • Access relevant print and online resources from the Library collection.
  • Access online resources from on and off-campus.
  • Make use of Library services like digitisation or inter-library loans.
  • Book additional training sessions for both yourself and your students.

Participants:

Open to all members of staff and in particular those involved in the Keele Knowledge Programme who are required to complete two open sessions within their first two years of employment at Keele.
