Introduction to the Myers-BriggsType Indicator (MBTI) for Doctoral Researchers

About the Workshop:

This highly interactive workshop introduces participants to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). This is a flexible framework that enable individuals to understand their personality preferences and explore how this may impact on how they work with others, take in information, deal with deadlines and many other practical issues. Through fun exercises and examples you will apply MBTI insights to a range of real-life situations and explore ways in which these insights can be used to increase your personal and professional effectiveness.

In advance of the workshop you will be emailed a questionnaire that you are required to fill out prior to attending the workshop (this will take about 30 minutes).

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the workshop you will:

* have a good understanding of the Myers Briggs model

* have explored your reported and best-fit types

* have insight into how you prefer to interact with others, take in information and use that to make decisions and deal with the world around you

* be able to identify areas in which you could use these insights to increase your effectiveness as a researcher and in your wider life
