Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management
This programme is aimed at experienced first line managers who wish to enhance their skills in implementing leadership practices within the workplace. The programme targets critical analysis of practical team issues and the implementation of improvements to leadership approaches within their role.
The programme covers qualities of leaders and decision making, motivating others and managing performance, work planning and delegation, problem solving and creative thinking.
The approach involves tutor inputs, tackling practical case studies and work-based situations, and group presentations. The Award is delivered over three taught days and requires participants to complete an ILM personal learning workbook and to produce a written project report based on a real work issue. The Level 3 Award carries a five credit rating.
