About the Workshop:

Keele has ambitious aims of becoming one of the country's leading sustainability campus universities, through its campus developments, including ambitious renewable energy generation targets, through its distinctive curriculum embedding sustainability into both the core and co-curriculum, through its outreach activities with the local community and through its research and enterprise activities.

This workshop will explore the background pressures to embedding sustainability into the operations of Higher Education Institutions, and outline Keele's current sustainability activities and future plans and highlight ways in which all staff can get involved in helping Keele achieve its sustainability aims.

The workshop will cover:

* Keele's Sustainability vision

* Current sustainability initiatives

* The Keele University Sustainability Hub

* Future sustainability initiatives

* What this means for you working at Keele

Outcomes for participants include:

* Explore what sustainability means to them in the context of their day to day job at Keele and how they can be more sustainable

* Information and discussion around developments in curriculum development at Keele

* Opportunity to hear and ask questions about the changing nature of student expectations of the University in terms of energy, environment and sustainability
