Getting the best from first year students

About this workshop
As new students move into Higher Education, they typically find that there are significant changes in what is expected of them (and often also what they in turn expect) both academically and socially.
Learning Objectives
This workshop aims to inform staff of some of the key transition issues with regards to new undergraduate students and facilitiate discussion of ways in which individual tutors (and more broadly programmes and the institution) can get the best from our first year students and help them adapt to university level learning.
