An Introduction to University Governance
Length of programme: 1 hour
Learning Objectives:
To provide a useful and practical overview of University governance.
Topics including:
- The University structure
- Rules and Regulations
- How the Committee system works
- A brief overview of the Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection Act (detailed training sessions regarding how to respond to requests for information will follow shortly)
- Student grievances, appeals and the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education
Participants:
Any member of staff and in particular those involved in the Keele Knowledge Programme who are required to complete two open sessions within their first two years of employment at Keele.
