I graduated with excellence from the Department of Biology, Faculty of life Science, Aleppo University (Syria), and I obtained my Diploma degree (89%) in Microbiology from the same university in 2006. Then I have chosen to work as a laboratory demonstrator at the Damascus University. I taught a laboratory classes from 2008 to 2011 including animal ecology, animal biology, animal techniques and insect physiology. In 2010, I have chosen to get a scholarship from the Syrian High education Ministry to study for my PhD in UK. Currently, I am a PhD student in the School of Life Sciences at Keele University, supervised by Dr Frederic Tripet. I am interested Genetic and behavioural mechanisms of speciation in the Anopheles gambiae complex.
