A bumper class of Life Scientists graduated this year, with the degree ceremonies for most biologists occurring on Wednesday July 10th

The morning saw a drinks reception held in glorious weather on the lawns of the Huxley Building – the first time in 5 years that our graduation day has been sunny enough for an outdoor reception!  Head of School Professor Dave Hoole presented several prizes to top graduating students and wished the class of 2013 every success in their future careers.  The degree ceremony that followed in Keele chapel featured a timely and inspiring address from Sir Mark Walport, the government’s Chief Scientific Advisor, who received an honorary degree.
