Professor Hilary Hurd will be funded to attend the COST BM0802 fourth annual meeting on Life or Death of Protozoan Parasites in January 2012.

COST stands for 'European Cooperation in Science and Technology' and COST Action BM0802 is interested in the death mechanisms found in protozoan parasites.  These organisms cause diseases such as malaria, sleeping sickness, leishmaniasis and toxoplasmosis.  The fourth annual meeting will take place in Milan in January 2012.

Professor Hurd is a work package leader and a member of  the management committee of this European Network. She had edited a series of papers, published in Parasites and Vectors, produced by members of the network.
