After an excellent performance at the Client Interviewing Regional Finals in Sheffield on the 26th of January, level 3 students Rachel Johnson and Rachael Mellers are now through to the National Finals in Cardiff on the 2nd of March.

Rachel and Rachael were the winning team of the 2012-13 Keele Law School Client Interviewing Competition, an annual competition in interviewing and counselling skills. The Keele Law School Final was judged by Janet Jackson and Kathryn Harvey, solicitors on ASPIRE’s legal team, and Kate Price, of Attwood Solicitors. The judges particularly acknowledged the quality of the three finalist teams, whilst Janet and Kathryn offered work experience to the all the finalists.

‌The 2012 -13 Keele Law School Client Interviewing Competition began in October 2012. Academic members of the law school staff and legal practitioners judged a series of role-play interviews, which provided an opportunity to level 2, 3 and CPE students to develop crucial inter-personal legal skills as well as knowledge of the law.  Level 3 students Dexi-Louise Ellis and Chelsea Turner and CPE student Hannah Lowe efficiently and enthusiastically supported the running of the 2012-13 competition.
