Safeguarding Adults in Sport Acting against Abuse

Opening the dialogue

This interactive conference invited lead safeguarding officers and senior managers to come together to begin the dialogue on safeguarding adults in sport.  Each safeguarding lead officer was invited to bring along a senior manager from their organisation to ensure the safeguarding adults agenda is understood at a senior level. This enabled the challenges and responsibilities of the governing body to be met and the opportunity to be fully embraced.

This event targeted those organisations preparing safeguarding policies and action plans for adults in their sport. The conference was structured to allow expert input, followed by questions and round table discussion to consider issues raised under each theme.
